What we did

ASH represented the council as expert witnesses in the fields of landscape character and visual assessment, ecology and environmental legislation and precedent. Issues that emerged include:

  • The relevance of environmental impact assessment at the outline design stage of a project.
  • The importance and status of the environmental statement at Public Inquiry.
  • The importance of site selection in the avoidance and mitigation of impacts.

The outcome for the Council was successful.
